Info

Information about club procedures if you decide to continue training at our club.
We hope you enjoy the trial class and choose to continue developing your self-defence skills and physical fitness at our club. Below you can find more information about Krav Maga Riga (KMR) club procedures and how to participate.
Access to premises
  • No later than before the second class, the student must independently purchase an access card, which is necessary to enter the Club premises and receive the Service at the Club premises. The issued Club card may only be used by the person whose details are indicated on the Club card. Each student must purchase their own Club card.
Memberships and payments
  • The subscription period and payment period is 1 (one) calendar month (from the first to the last date of the month).
  • Subscription prices can be viewed at kmr.lv/cenas (special courses may be priced separately).

  • The first month's payment period is from the first paid class to the last date of that month, and the fee for the first month is calculated proportionally to the number of remaining classes in that month.
  • When resuming training, existing students should consider whether it would be more advantageous to pay for a monthly subscription or for individual classes until the end of the month. No recalculations will be made for existing students.
  • A 48-hour cancellation policy applies to private lessons. If a lesson is canceled less than 48 hours before it is scheduled to begin, the fee for that lesson will not be refunded.
What to wear
  • Wear appropriate clothing during classes — t-shirt and long training pants/shorts. If wearing leggings, put shorts over them. Shoes must have suitable soles (martial arts, boxing shoes, or soft-soled shoes) to avoid damaging the floor. In kids' and teen classes, shoes aren't worn (train in socks or barefoot) unless specified otherwise.
  • Maintain high hygiene standards when participating in classes, including trimmed nails and clean, washed training clothes (training gear must be washed after every class).
Equipment
  • Equipment is necessary to practice the skills you are learning safely for yourself and your training partner. Some equipment, such as a helmet and groin guard, is necessary for your own safety, but gloves and shin guards are necessary so that you can train in pairs without injuring your partner. If you do not have the necessary equipment, you can still participate in the classes, but the instructor cannot guarantee that you will be able to perform each exercise correctly. If your lack of equipment jeopardizes the safety of others, you may be assigned a task to perform alone, to reinforce your technique, without the practical elements of working in pairs or groups.
  • Required equipment for adults and young people:
    1) Groin guard, 2) shin guards, 3) boxing gloves, 4) MMA gloves, 5) mouth guard
  • Required equipment for children: Boxing gloves
  • All equipment (except MMA gloves) must be purchased no later than the second month of membership.
  • A more detailed description of the equipment, sizes, and stores where it can be purchased can be found here.

Data processing
  • During classes, with prior notice, we may film and take photographs for the purpose of publishing videos and photos on social networks or in other club advertising materials.
  • If a student does not want themselves or their children to be filmed or photographed during training, they must notify us in advance in writing by emailing: info@kmr.lv.

  • The club's training hall is equipped with video surveillance, which is intended for the safety of the club, its visitors and staff, as well as for the prevention and detection of possible criminal offences (e.g., theft). Video recordings are used only for the purposes specified in this clause.
